Professor Emil Björnson shared a talk where he explains how the concept of Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces (also known as Intelligent Reflecting Surfaces) is related to conventional relaying technologies, and provide recent insights into what the best use cases of the technology might be and how machine learning can be used to overcome practical challenges.
